The Modern Italian Classic Chianti

Caposaldo Chianti 2008-

We added a great Italian Chianti in our menu. Everyone knows Chianti, the phrase used by Hannibal Lecter in a movie- “The silence of the lambs” as  I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti. So this Chianti wine comes from Italy and specifically in Chianti Area.

The Chianti area in Tuscany is one of the most beautiful region in Italy. It extends over the provinces of Florence and Siena covering green and gentle hills with wide fields of vineyards and olive groves, small stone villages and countryside picturesque houses.

Caposaldo Chianti

This Caposaldo Chianti has Horse icon and represents superior achievement and quality. The wine is bright, ruby red and has  fruity aroma with hints of violet. It has  Cherry flavors, a dry, flavorful palate, good body, light tannins an excellent structure and a long, elegant finish bring harmony to this wine whose finesse increases with age. It goes well with Indian Nan, Meat and even Dal.

In normal words, it is a great value for the price.

Adding New Wines in the Menu

It is time to add some new wines in the menu. We have added 5 different wines both red and white. I am going to discuss about each one of them Individually. In the category of Cabernet, Moon Mountain’s Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is grown in Sonoma Valley.  This layered, complex flavored wine is made from grapes hand picked and juiced by pressing higher quality grapes.  The process used for making this wine is sustainable in nature. Also, the grapes are certified organic so it is very much in line with our California thinking of Green and Sustainable life.

Rich in mountain blackberry and ripe currant flavors, the wine has hint of wild Sonoma sage, cedar, and roasted coffee. This is definitely very Dynamic Wine which can be paired with Tandoori meat and Indian food.  Buying a bottle for your table is a great treat.
